THE HISTORY OF LEDARNEY MANOR

The Manor, located at 44 – 1st Avenue SE in Teulon MB, has always been a private residence until purchased by Murray Ledarney. Mr. Ledarney generously gifted the use of the Manor as a fundraiser to Nova House Inc. a charity who operates a women’s shelter in the Interlake and North Eastman regions of Manitoba.

Originally built in 1908 by the Greene family, F.H. Greene married Katherine Wood. In 1917, the house was sold to David Wood.  More History

The building is wood frame on a stone basement with hardwood floors throughout and a fireplace in the sitting room. The walls on the main floor area have been restored to their original state and colour that was burlap covered and framed with oak trim.  Even the furnishings are from the early 1900's.  This stunning example of architectural grace contained within the three stories of Ledarney Manor is worth a trip to Teulon Manitoba Canada to see.
